One Cake Leaves
So it was my birthday again. Again.
Judging by the candle I'm still one. I really can't keep track of all these birthdays - I just eat the cake. Now technically this celebration was yesterday, but I'm posting about it today because said cake and its after-effects made blogging challenging last night. I might only be one (many times over) but I'm wise in the way of cake and babies. This was a double chocolate cake. DOUBLE CHOCOLATE!! Given to a baby right before bedtime. Do the math. Or I can just sum it up for you in one word: Thunderdome.
Needless to say, this was me at night-night time:
So thank you for the super-extended-lullaby portion of bedtime, Daddy! You have a lovely and soothing singing voice. xoxo

Barefoot in the Park
There's nothing like running barefoot in Central Park on a sunny day when you've just learned how to walk.

Fashion Week Prep
I wore my new jeans today! So naturally I had to put them through their poses to break them in:
The last pose may look simple but it is deceptively complex. Notice how I'm extending the leg with butterfly detailing yet leaning ever-so-casually against the sofa, delicately resting my fingers in my mouth, and gazing off into the distance all at the same time. This is an advanced pose that's usually sported by seasoned walkers, but I'm totally pulling it off. Guess I have good genes. (See what I did there?!)

The Artificial Grass is Always Greener Than Asphalt
So I'm an urban baby. I was born in Manhattan and I live in Manhattan. However, I do get out to the 'burbs every once in a while to visit with relatives, where I've been known to run around in some grass. But being an urban baby limits my exposure to grass. Most of the playgrounds I go to involve asphalt and some sort of hard rubber to fall on. Whee! But today, I discovered something different. Something wonderful.
Artificial grass.
I was very surprised by this new material beneath my feet and wasn't sure what to do at first. So I popped a squat and took it all in.
I sat like this for quite some time. Too long, if you ask Mama. Eventually I saw something I liked and started to move. I used my baby charms and soon enough, it was mine:
My new friend Jackson was nice enough to share. That's Jackson in the upper left of the photo, all decked out in his hat, sunglasses, madras shorts, and Vans. He's cool like that. But then I saw something even better:
I didn't care whose it was - it was mine now! Wait, what's that?:
Notice how I even veered off of the artificial grass for the orange bucket? Just trying to honor your love of orange and make you proud, Daddy! If only there was something blue around here, too...
Woot!!
Artificial grass.
